Linux Flash Player update and new blog

Update (10/31/06): I still see tons of people reading this old entry. Please read this for up to date information. A beta is now available.

Quick note: Emmy Huang has a small update on the Linux Flash Player. Also, we have a new blog from Mike M.. He is the engineer in charge of of the Linux version, so you might want to drop him a comment or two. Maybe this will put me out of the line of fire for a while... ;-) But we actually read and take seriously all feedback from users, no matter how negative or positive it might be.

You're kidding right??

Next year?!!

Sigh...

How can you think you'll be taken seriously if your strongest opposition is treated as a second-class citizen?

My prediction is that as soon as adobe figures out that microsoft is not a partner, they'll put more weight behind Linux and other microsoft alternatives.

I posted the same request on Mike's Blog- but i'll post it here as well:

how about giving public access to your Linux SCC? If Adobe opened up development to the Linux community, the product would be out the door 2x as fast and be 10x as compatible.

I know that Adobe licenses their code to 3rd party ISVs for embedded linux systems- if the product was open source, it's release could still be under a double license (think MySQL)

Thank you! It's always a drag having to start the win32 version of Firefox on WINE just to watch the tv episodes ABC is offering online.

Please don't listen to that "strongest opposition" weirdo (I'm not sure what he's talking about).
